Social businesses
Updated: Mar 3
Now that we have seen what the sustainable development is all about where does the social business fit in?
When does a personal problem become a public issue? What is its political, social, economic or environmental approach? How do we categorize problems and who is to decide that?

The pillars
The social problem is “a social fact is every way of acting, fixed or not, capable of exercising on the individual an external constraining; or again, every way of acting which is general throughout a given society, while at the same time existing in its own right independent of its individual manifestation“ (Emile Durkheim).
The political problem is coming from the political sphere and it is connected to the polity (institutional systems), policy (content/material) and politics (process of hegemony). New institutional approach in administration as only what is economically viable can exist is such an example.
An economic problem refers to “the day is not far off when the economic problem will take the back seat where it belongs, and the arena of the heart and head will be occupied […] by our real problems of life and human relation […]” (J. M. Keynes). Economy tries to manage resources that are scarce; that is the problem in itself.
The environmental problem is often a problem of the commons. Know Process that has negative effects on the sustainability of the environmental quality necessary for the well-being of the organisms living in it.
