Rock & Rap: AC / DC

AC/ DC band is an Australian hard rock band formed in Sydney in 1973. Although the group is universally regarded as Australian, nearly all of its members are native British. Commonly referred to as a hard rock or blues rock band, they are also considered pioneers of heavy metal and are sometimes classified as such, though they have always dubbed their music as simply ‘rock and roll’.

Do you know why the name of the group is AC/DC?

Malcolm joined the New South Wales band Velvet Underground, though this is not the famous New York-based band, but eventually came up with a band name with Angus. The idea for the band name came when their sister Margaret (Angus's sister) saw the initials on a sewing machine, AC/DC. The abbreviation means alternating current/direct current electricity, which is what many believe is the genesis behind the name.

This band aims to give rock and rock to the audience with the feeling of freedom in them. And if you want to take a look at the songs of this group, which has successfully achieved this goal since the 70s and is listened to by more and more people day by day, these are the most listened to songs that Billboard has created for AC/DC. (:) Rock N Roll Train / Big Jack/ Stiff Upper Lip / Satellite Blues/ Dirty Eyes/ Safe In New York City /Anything Goes/ Meltdown.
