Music frequency: 432 Hz

In the ancient world instruments were tuned to 432 Hz and before the mid-20th century, 432 Hz was the standard. Since then, it has become the norm in the audio industry to tune the frequencies at 440 Hz. The frequency of 432 Hz resonates with the Schumann Resonance of 8 Hz and is thought to have deep calming and soothing effects because of its resonance with the Schumann Resonance.

Despite these studies (Calamasi & Pomponi, 2019; Calamassi, Lucicesare, Pomponi & Bambi, 2020; Calamassi, Li Vigni, Fumagalli, Gheri, Pomponi & Bambi, 2022) are still in their infancy and have some limitations, there are some researches especially from Italy which suggest that listening to music tuned to 432 Hz has some positive effect on health (sleep quality, stress, anxiety, etc.) compared to music at a frequency of 440 Hz. The researchers underline that listening to music at 432 Hz can be a useful resource to handle anxiety and stress because it is a low cost and also a short intervention.
