Eurovision 2022: San Marino - Achille Lauro

Lauro De Marinis, is an Italian singer, rapper and songwriter, better known as Achille Lauro, a stage name chosen after a lot of people associate him with the owner of a cruise ship with the same name. His brother was a producer for Quarto Blocco and introduce him to the world of under rap music.
In 2012, he released “Barabba” and “Harvard”, and two years later he debuted a studio album called Achille Idol Immortale, with the participation of artists, such as Marracash, Gemitaiz and Coez. In 2015, the artist released Dio C’è, and in the next year with his own new label he debut the album Ragazzi, which was certified gold. After signing with Sony Music, he published the album Pour l’amour, that entered the Italian charts and was also certified gold.
Alongside releasing new albums, the next years, were when he participated in Sanremo Music Festival, first time in 2018 with the song “Rolls Royce” and finished 9th place. The second time, in 2019, he finished 8th place with the song “Me ne frego”. Both songs were certified as platinum. Also, in 2021, he appeared in the festival but only as a guest. This year, Achille Lauro had already released eight albums, with many achievements and recognition. Including the song beside Fedez and Orietta Berti - “Mille”, that was certified 6x platinum.
In 2022, he participated for the third time in Sanremo Music Festival with the song “Domenica”, he finished fourteenth place. But, some days after, it was announced that Achelle Lauro would participate in Una Voce per San Marino, and with the song “Stripper” he won and will represent San Marino at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022.
