Primavera Sound first edition happen in 2001 at Poble Espanyol. In 2005, it change the venue to Parc del Fòrum, because it was needed a much larger place due to the festival growth. With a diversity of genres Primavera became one of the largest and most-attended music festivals in Europe, the biggest in the Mediterranean and a meeting point combining many artists and spectators from all generations.
Every year the numbers of the festival are bigger than the year before, starting in 2001 with an attendance of 8.000 people, and in 2019 with 220.000 people. This great success led Primavera Sound to expand, in 2012, and becoming a regular festival in Porto (Portugal). And in 2022, it will happen in Los Angels (USA), in Santiago (Chile), Buenos Aires (Argentina) and in São Paulo (Brazil). Also, it’s preview to be produced, in 2023, in Arganda del Rey (Spain).
In 2022, it will occur between June 2nd and 12th in Barcelona. The tickets are already available on the official website, as the line-up for all the festival’s days. It is expected so many great artists, an amazing venue and a lot of people from different places. It seems you can’t miss this year’s Primavera Sound!
